PROJECT BRIEF

Careline is a specially designed product for the Elderly who are living alone, frail or disabled people who constantly need someone to help them in an emergency. The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant that goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.

In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit’s loudspeaker and help is found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.

Option to upgrade or downgrade a plan while the current subscription is active. The difference will be adjusted to the next invoice.

Challenges We Overcome

This site includes single-purpose device to trigger alarm. We have coded a API which catches a user-input when button pressed and send SMSs to User’s provided Emergency contact numbers and also send alarm to CareLine’s Emergency Response Team.
Since nature of business requires zero downtime, we have configured a back-up server which automatically takes its place when primary server is down to ensure website is up 24 x 7.
